Highway to Hoeftland

An Adventure Blog

New Year’s resolutions are silly.

So without further ado, below are my top ten aspirations for the coming New Year.

  1. Check out the area near Boulder and Denver, Colorado. We have heard so many good things about this region; it’s time to explore it.
  2. Visit Zion National Park in our Casita travel trailer. Neither Mike, nor I, has ever been to Utah. Zion is supposedly stunningly beautiful! We should go soon!
  3. Visit more of California’s Northern beaches and the Pacific Coast Highway. Still on the list of places in CA to see are Santa Cruz, Carmel, Monterrey, and San Francisco. (I’ve been to San Francisco before, but only very briefly. I’d like to spend more time there.)
  4. Work devotedly on improving my writing skills. Join writer’s workshops. Take writing classes.
  5. Attempt to publish articles in travel magazines and online websites.
  6. Improve my photography skills. Also, remember to use my good camera, rather than always reaching for my phone to take pictures.
  7. Have fun with family and friends!
  8. Make new friends.
  9. Volunteer more regularly. Make it a habit.
  10. Continue working towards overall health and happiness—physically and emotionally.

I’d like to know, what are your goals for 2015? 🙂

Those are great goals! I haven’t made my list yet, but I would like to explore my new home Las Vegas, and the surrounding states like Utah or Arizona or California. I’m hoping to improve my writing skills as well, which is why I started my blog. Enjoying reading your posts and looking forward to updates on your goals!

    1. Thank you so much! Las Vegas is in a great location for exploring the surrounding region. There is so much to see and do in all different directions. I look forward to reading more of your blog as well!

Kristin. Great goals for the New Year. Zion and Bryce, in case you haven’t seen them, are terrific. We have been there many times. Also near those two parks is Brian Head, a ski resort, but it is beautiful in the summer too.

I’ll have to work on my goals although they always include being a better person and staying healthy. Staying healthy gets more important each year! Ha, must mean I am getting older, but the alternative is not an option right now!

    1. I hear you Sharron, about staying healthy!

I have never heard of Brian Head, Utah. I’ll have to add that to the list of places to visit. Oh yes, and Bryce Canyon as well. My in-laws were mentioning wanting to go there together but we haven’t made the trip yet. I’d like to see Utah in the Spring.

I hope you’re having a great week! Thanks for your comments.
