Wow, time has flown by. I cannot believe it’s been a few years since I last wrote a blog post for Highway to Hoeftland. I think it’s time for an update! ๐
We’ve now lived in Bend, Oregon for four years. We’re in our same home and we still have our 2014 Honda Ridgeline (that we used to tow the Casita with). We didn’t get a van or RV after selling our Casita Travel Trailer, but I think that might change soon…
I miss the Casita. Looking back at all the old blog posts, I regret that we sold the trailer. I still love RVing and make Mike watch YouTube channels on RV life all the time. Poor guy.
Our beloved pets all passed away over the past few years. It was very heartbreaking for us. We might get another furry friend or two one of these days, but we haven’t been ready yet. We miss Jet, Han and Lei Lei.
I realized that I also miss writing on this blog, so I’m going to start writing again. More content is on the way.
I hope you’re all doing great! What have you been up to? Tell me in the comments. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Kristin
Keep on Truckin’ and continue to inspire all of us to follow the path to the beautiful outdoors!! Do you have an address where you can receive a gift for your travels…. perhaps something a little “Bendish”? Cheers!!

Yay. I love hearing what you’re up to and seeing your photos–and glad you’re feeling inspired to write about again. Sounds like new adventures soon to ensue. Cheers to you and Mike. (I can’t think about Mike now without hearing that sweet little Alice say his name–and ask to ride around in his arms. She likes Mike, but then, of course, why wouldn’t she.)

It’s so funny how she does that! We get a kick out of it. ๐ Thanks for the encouragement. Cheers to you and Bill, too! It was great catching up.

I have been living in my RV since 2016 and I love this lifestyle. I work remotely and do lots of international traveling as well. I cannot wait to go back flying again! It seems like you are missing the lifestyle but not enough to give up everything and do it again?

Hi there, That is encouraging to hear that you love the lifestyle and have made it work for you! I think finding the remote jobs would be key for us. Then we could be location independent, which is the ultimate dream. We’re trying to work out a plan for the future, but not quite there yet… Thanks very much for your comment and inspiration. ๐ -Kristin
