My favorite picture of the North Carolina Coast is of this grand pier, jetting out into the ocean. I took this picture a few years ago. If I remember correctly, it was taken in Atlantic City, NC, a few weeks after a hurricane hit the coastline. If you look closely, you can see that the pier is damaged in some spots.
Two of the most beautiful areas of North Carolina, in my opinion, are the coastline and the western North Carolina mountains. If you get the chance to visit, my suggestion is to check out Carolina Beach and Asheville.

Glad you are back writing….look forward to seeing what you guys are up to. We actually moved from Bend across the country to Wilmington, NC in 2018. It is so different than the west coast.
