Highway to Hoeftland

Mike and I recently adopted a dog after 4 years of being a dog-free household.

Teddy came from a shelter on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. He was found as “a stray,” and that’s all we know about his history.

The Rawley Project, a non-profit dog rescue organization was there in New Mexico picking up puppies. They saw Teddy at the shelter they were visiting and decided to take Teddy back to Bend, Oregon – a 19+ hour drive.

Mike and I had recently signed up to help foster dogs. They asked us to foster Teddy temporarily while they found him a permanent home.

Teddy’s Demeanor

Teddy is the sweetest. He loves to cuddle and is a very chill dog. After a couple of weeks with Teddy, we decided we didn’t want to give him up – and the rest is history.

Teardrop Camping

We brought Teddy on his first teardrop camping adventure with us and documented the experience. We wondered how he would like it, how we would all fit comfortably in the teardrop, and whether Teddy will make a good camping and traveling companion.
