Highway to Hoeftland

Adventures with Kristin & Mike

My sweet dog makes me happier.
In the morning when he wakes up, the little fur ball thumps down the stairs cheerfully—ready to start the day.
Of course, about 20 minutes later, he is ready for a nap.
He doesn’t feel guilty about resting—or about snoring. His tail wags when he sees me, sometimes so much that his whole bottom moves from side to side.
His enthusiasm and friendliness is contagious!
At this point, I smile widely and my mood improves.
He’s not complicated. He likes belly rubs, walks in the park, and car rides. I’m glad that I can give those things to him.
Most of all, he just wants us to be together.
Companionship, security, and kind-heartedness are his values.
He reminds me to be thankful for simple pleasures in my daily life.
He reminds me that enjoying each other is more worthwhile than worrying.
He is so soft, cuddly, lovable, and funny.
Every day I laugh a little bit—about simple, basic things that my dog does.
I love spending time with him because; my sweet dog makes me happier.
